Beyond Polarisation: The Human Side of Conflict
Moving beyond two-dimensional readings of the complex Israeli-Palestinian reality to lay bare its inner wounds—this is the core purpose of Amal, the new short film produced by Next Video Trailer in collaboration with Osservatorio Mashrek.
At the core of the film is a young Palestinian from Tulkarem, who grew up within a seemingly frozen social and political context. The narrative centers on his deep existential crisis, torn between two opposing forces: his immutable loyalty to his family, roots, and the Palestinian cause, versus a visceral pull toward self-determination and shaping his own identity.
Shifting the Gaze
Amal makes the most revolutionary choice possible in a land marked by division: turning his gaze beyond the wall.
